We manufacture quality wood caskets in a wide selection of designs and styles available in both traditional and unusual wood species.
Q. Why use a wood casket instead of a steel casket?
A. Iron ore and petroleum products used in making steel and plastic are non-renewable natural resources, wood products are a renewable natural resource. Each tree that is harvested is replaced with young trees that remove carbon from the atmosphere at a much higher rate than older trees. Also, the energy used in and pollution created by the manufacturing of steel and plastic are much greater than that of wood product manufacturing.
Below we've organized all our wood caskets by wood specie then by styles offered, please take a few minutes and browse through our selection.
Each type of wood has it's own defining characteristics, such as grain, color variations, texture, mineral deposits & streaks, knots, sap runs, pin and worm holes. These natural markings make each wood casket unique and contributes to its overall beauty.
Pine Caskets
Western Pine is a softwood that is usually light-colored with pink-brown variations in color.
Knotty Pine is an ideal choice for a natural look, offering its own unique appeal with its mix of color, knots and grain character.
Cedar is a closed-grain softwood, with a true, straight grain. It is free from pitch and its heartwood has natural decay resistance. Cedar is an exceptionally beautiful wood that is mellow amber, reddish cinnamon and rich sienna brown in color.
Cedar wood can be finished using most finishing products, but it is usually not stained. Because of the natural beauty of the wood, a clear finish is the traditional choice for cedar.
