Wood Characteristics: Walnut is an open-grain hardwood that is fairly light in weight. Walnut's heartwood is generally brown to deep purple brown in color and the sapwood is white to cream color-gray in color.

Walnut is unsurpassed in finishing. Clear finishes will bring out the beautiful satiny grain.
